Never having zip-lined before, I was a bit apprehensive, but our guides, Anna and Holly, were fantastic and put us all at ease immediately. This truly was a don't miss experience in Queenstown. We did the 6-line tour and only wanted more at the end. The guides are very safety-minded and obviously love what they do. They encouraged us to try a few tricks and did some flips and back jumps themselves.
The company is also very conservation minded and has designed everything for sustainability. The only downside was the long hike down between lines 5 and 6. The "short walk through the woods" is actually a steep hike down on a very narrow, rocky, and twisty path.
A bonus for me was the considerable senior discount if you are over 65. Instead of the $179 price, I paid only $129, but I did have to show ID. You also have to take the gondola up to the starting point ($26) or hike up the mountain. However, the view is incredible and you should go up the gondola anyway for the experience.
We were told that we could not bring anything with us, so we left our purses, etc. at the hotel, but the guides actually carry a backpack and you can give them all of your stuff if it isn't too much. You can take a camera.
