“Great service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2013

The service were great however the rooms are not spacious at all ( don't be fooled by the photos on the website). We stayed in a 2 bedroom lake view(executive ) , both of the bedrooms barely had enough rooms for our suitcases. The view is not too bad. Overall, it was average.

Perfect for a family having a holiday in Queenstown. Away from the centre which is both a pro and a con. Really nice warm units and the underfloor heating is superb in winter. Would definitely stay again.

My husband and I had a great night at the Rees. Found a Congratulations card & chocolates on our bed on arrival. Nice room with beautiful lake view and heated bathroom tiles. Lovely meal at the on site restaurant. All the staff were wonderful. We would recommend anyone staying in Queenstown to stay at this modern hotel. Thank you to the friendly staff at the Rees for making us so welcome!

Room Tip: Make sure you have a lake view!

We stayed in a room that overlooked the lake. It was well appointed and extremely clean and modern. What we really loved about our stay was the staff, they couldn't have been more helpful if they tried. We especially loved the onsite restaurant - absolutely beautiful and well presented food and they went one step further and prepared a meal that was in line with my food allergies.

We (2 adults, 2 teenagers) stayed at the Rees apartments recently in Queenstown, South Island, New Zealand. The concierge, Patrick was fantastic with helping me to organise the accommodation, info in ski passes and hiring the ski gear that we needed. As a first time skier I really appreciated his help and advice in bringing it all together.
On Patrick's advice, we hired all our ski gear from SnoPro. All the gear was ordered online to our sizes and Justin from SnoPro came to the Rees at a time that suited us with all the gear. He fitted us perfectly with good quality Helle Hansen clothing and Rossignol boots and skis. The equipment couldn't have been better and we were skiing the next day.

We (family of 4) stayed at the Rees apartments, Queenstown, recently for a ski trip. The lake view apartment was spacious enough and well appointed but only one bathroom for us which was a bit tricky at times!
Underfloor heating in the bathroom, heated towel rail and gas fire in the living area meant that we could warm the space quickly and easily as the temperature plunged below zero in the evenings. We had full kitchen and laundry facilities all with new appliances and easy to use.
Ten minutes drive from Queenstown airport, 5 minute drive from the town centre (also a flat and direct 30 minute walk for some fresh air) made it very convenient. Well located for skiing at Coronet Peak which was only a 25 min drive. Overall very welcoming, warm, quiet and great location with panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and mountains.

Room Tip: go for a lake and mountain view room to make the most of the spectacular scenery!

Our family of four stayed in a two bedroom apartment overlooking the lake. The apartment was spacious and had great views, even though the weather was a bit grey all through our stay. The apartment was warm with a gas fireplace and felt homely. Heated bathroom and kitchen floors were a treat! The concierge was helpful in organising our activities. All in all, we would thoroughly recommend The Rees apartments for short stays, and we will definitely be returning for a ski trip one winter.
