“Quick, cheap and yummy”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2012

Love the prices! about $8 -$10 for a large portions of hot food.
The sushi and rice balls are the cheapest that I have found in Dunedin.
The only things which I don't like about this place is their watered down wasabi and their loud music.
This place is perfect for a quick, cheap and healthy lunch.

“cheap and nasty sushi”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2012

imho, the sushi here is not good. The rice is mushy! Better off going to Maki Mono.
The cooked meals are OK - nothing to rave about.

“Cheap - but you get what you pay for”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2012

I ordered wonton soup, which was undercooked. The noodles were very al dente and the wontons were raw in the middle.

Very popular with students as you can fill up on rice very cheaply.

I suggest walking further alone to one of the other numerous noodle houses or sushi bars about.

“Cheap and cheerful”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2012

Food isn't fantastic, but it's consistent and tastes nourishing enough. The chicken noodle soup is perfect in winter. Sushi isn't the best in town but is by far the cheapest in town and is always fresh, as there is a very high turnover. The music is always loud and it feels like a bit of a dance party but it's a conveniently located place to grab and quick bite and the food always comes out really quickly.
