After three weeks staying in satisfactory hotels, motels and B&Bs, this was the pits. The bed sheets had not been ironed, which made us suspect they had not been laundered, the shower cubicle was dirty, there was what looked like bird muck on the carpet and our room was freezing during the night. The evening meal was chicken skin and bones served in a morass of lumpy rice that had the consistency of dog sick. It was so awful that, even though we were famished, we left it. The dysfunctional owners had great difficulty coordinating their minds and bodies in order to serve us a hot drink and after 50 minutes, during which they had disappeared on several occasions to deal with murderous cats, feuding teenagers and sundry phone calls from their army of investment advisers, we gave up and barricaded ourselves in our room.
If you are foolish enough to ask for breakfast, make sure they serve it the night before, otherwise you will miss your taxi, bus or flight. Give this place a wide berth or you will lose any inclination to travel again.

These people arrived after several days of disrupted travel, in a stressed and exhausted state. We don't do meals other than breakfast and they were offered the option of being driven to a restaurant, other food outlet or sharing a meal with us. They choose to eat with us. The teenagers complained of were guests who behaved like teenagers. There was an electric blanket on the bed and a heater in the room so there was no reason to freeze espeacialy in a property that is extremely well insulated at a time when outdoor temperature are still temperate. These guest were provided with transport to the airport, a service we do not normaly provide.

All sheets are laundered on the premises and it is not our practise to iron sheets, however other linen is. All facilities are cleaned to a high standard. If a bird had flow in through the window it was a first and last time.
We are always disappointed if a guest feels they have not had a stay experience that was enjoyable. Sometimes circumstances conspire in a way that we would prefer not to have happened and we constantly work to improve all aspects of the stay that we control. We have many guests who have returned to stay with us and our business contunues to grow from referals.
