Dunedin – Back to Nature Tours- Feb 1, 2013-day tour
We did a small group tour for 10 people, including lunch at a local pub with a great guide of Dunedin and the surrounding area. We had a guided city tour in the morning with lots of stops for pictures along the way. The tour went around the main sites, up the steepest street, by the university and a stop so that we could go into the railway station. Then it was off to explore the gardens of Larnach Castle and lunch. In the afternoon we drove though the Otago Peninsula and to the yellow eyed Penguin Reserve called Penguin Place. This was the only disappointing part of the tour as there were very few penguins there. If I had to do it over again we would give this place a miss. The tour was $165 pp and we all had a great time with an exceptional guide.
