If you want to get away from the hectic life and just relax in a beautifully restored old home with a peaceful and marvelous view, look no further. This little oasis in the middle of a huge working sheep/cattle/goat ranch is for you. Don't worry, it is so large you probably won't even SEE an animal from the house but you can sit out on the porch or in front of the fireplace in one of the cozy sofas and just unwind. Lynette will have some delicious muffins waiting on you upon arrival and in the morning come over and prepare a delicious breakfast. You have the entire 4 bedroom 3 bath house to yourself. There is also a bunk house that sleeps an additional 4 I believe with laundry facilities available. This was our favorite B & B on the South Island - don't miss it.

Room Tip: Lynette allows you to select whatever you want upon arrival - she bends over backward to accomodate...

This is a luxury experience in a fully renovated 100 year old stone homestead. All bedrooms are furnished with a theme and have gorgeous bathrooms. An open fire in the lounge adds to ambience as does the huge windows with accompanying drapes looking out on a wide landscape of high country plateau. One can do your own catering or have meals prepared by the manager, Lynne. Two heatpumps keep the rest of the house warm as does the original & working coal stove in the kitchen. A visit to be remembered with pleasure.
You can travel to this remote place by a train from Dunedin that pulls up 200 metres away!
