25th of December was tricky in terms of dining options in Christchurch. After some googling I found that Nobanno was opened so we went there without hesitation.
1) Food - I used to live in Bangladesh when I was a kid, so the dishes immediately reminded me of my childhood - amazing experience. Food was fresh, delicious and portions very hefty. Bengali food is similiar to Indian but less spicy with more defined flavours.
2) Service - we were served by the owner, who was very attentive, friendly and loved to chit chat. Since it was Christmas we received small gifts, which helped our jet lagged 3 year old to calm down.
3) Atmosphere - the restaurant has a nice, modest decor that invites both families and couples for romantic dinners.
Overall we loved the place and will definitely come back if we ever end up in Christchurch again.
