This was our first port of call arriving in Christchurch from OZ. We got a bus from the airport to Christchurch city bus station (bus drivers are incredibly friendly and helpful) and then a bus to New Brighton, the bus driver dropped us off right in front of the hostel!
We got there after midnight, but the staff were there and let us in and sorted us out very quickly. We had a large double room, with TV all for a bargain price.
It's in a fab location..just 5 minute walk through town to the beach...loads of little and cheap cafes and bars on your doorstep. Great for a few days stay as the beach is lovely!
As repeating something somebody else wrote in their review....don't let the fact that it's not in the centre of Christchurch put you off....its so cheap, an easy bus ride into town and a really relaxing place to hang out!
