“lovely spot”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

A great spot close to the city, excellent dog park for dogs. I've never experienced better. There's lots to do here and it can take some time to walk around.

“Great Place any time.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Remember going here years ago when we visited Christchurch on holidays. Now take grandchildren there. It is a great place to spend the whole day and there is always something to do not matter what time of the year, It has changes ove the years of course but is a safe family place. During the cooler months the kids love feeding the ducks and playing in the area.

“Freshwater springs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

The springs that feed the Groynes and Styx rivers are from the artisan aquifers under the city some of the water has been underground for many hundreds of years. Pure fresh water feeding large lakes and streams.

“fantastic outdoor facility in a busy city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 29, 2013

at the groynes you can feel so removed from the busy city, quiet walks, streams, native planting, for those that want peace and quiet. Duck ponds and fishing for the kids, picnic areas for the family and dog walking,
A great spot to get away from the city, right in the city.
