“modern interior”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012 via mobile

It's clearly an older style motor inn that has been fitted out with modern furniture and wall treatments. At that, it's quite comfortable, but the exterior is very barren, the location is rather plain as its surrounded by car parks and gas stations. A train line goes next to the hotel with freight trains coming all night.

Very worryingly, housekeeping left my door unlocked and OPEN all day while I was out. Luckily I had all my valuable items with me, but it would have been awful to have to deal with a missing passport or something.

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but inside it is very modern, clean and comfortable. The bed is SO COMFY and the shower head is like a waterfall.. Exactly what we needed after a long flight.
Only thing that annoyed me was the noise after 10pm. Barely noticed the trains but morons coming back loud to their rooms; but that's not the hotels fault I guess.

Excellent rooms, very tidy and good for business travelers or couples looking to sightseeing, everything u need without the flash bells and whistles. Best value for money.
Great service as well. Takes about 50mins to walk to city center

Stayed here one night and for a place that is at the budget end of accommodation you get a lot more then you pay for. The rooms had been recently renovated to a good standard not perfect but still above average. Service at reception was good and free wifi codes were offered to each of us (no need to share with the GF!) good place to stay if you are just after a good, clean and modern room....would certainly stay there again.

Not a typical hotel and the exterior is quite dated and lodge like. The newly renovated room was nice. Comfortable bed and lovely linen. Good size tv and range of channels. The bathroom was still old and a bit shabby. Ours was also dirty. Continental breakfast was available on request, but there was no room service. You also have to use outer stair to access half of the units. It was okay for the price, but not somewhere I would rush back to, unless I wanted simple.

Very tidy, clean and lovely staff! I think for the price this hotel is awesome! We had a quick one night stay but perfect and the bed was very comfy :) also parking is really good! ... The only downside was no 24/7 reception so i finished work early to check in but that is advertised so not a big issue!

Reception on arrival was efficient. Room was clean but basic. The bathroom outdated and in need of renovation as the makeshift repairs were amateurish. Although close to amenities it is located behind a debt collection establishment and confidence in security is further eroded by the notice in the the information book warning of harmless opportunists that will take advantage of unlocked rooms or vehicles.
