Good hotel with an excellent location and helpful staff.

We stayed at the Heritage as the last leg of our honeymoon in NZ. We were lucky to get good last minute rates for the Heritage. We arrived to find ourselves booked into a big room (with loads of space), great view of the Cathedral Square area, a huge super king bed, full kitchen facilities, a huge plate of cakes congratulating us on our marriage, some chocolates and a kind note from management. The location is unbeatable as it is right next to Cathedral Square, which made shopping and eating a breeze. We received great service from the reception on the night we arrived and thereafter, great service from the concierge and the day and night porters who were very helpful and polite. The hotel also provided evening turn down services with chocolates, something we learnt not to automatically expect from hotels in New Zealand. I am glad we chose the Heritage for the last hotel for our honeymoon because it left us with very sweet memories.

We stayed here for two nights, friendly staff right from valet parking to reception to chamber maids. Lots of information in large reception area on tours, things to do around the area, easy and relaxed check in with map showing where you are etc.

Rooms are very spacious and super clean. Room service was efficient and tasty.

The swimming pool and gym need updating, but no problems.

The location is excellent, right off Cathedral Square in Christchurch so within easy walking distance of tourist attractions, shopping etc.

Would definitely stay here again!

We stayed for a couple of nights in the OGB (Old Government Building). It was very nicely appointed with kitchen and laundry facilities. We had a two bedroom unit that was nicely furnished and spacious. The property is located directly behind the Cathedral so it oculdn't have been more convenient.
