My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in May 14-17. When we checked in the reception guy was not friendly at all and he seemed bored(?). He gave us the keys to the room and just pointed out the number and that was it- no offer of an upgrade or telling us hotel amenities, etc. We were left to our own devices after that, lugging our luggage ourselves and went up to our room. The room was quite small and it didn't seem to have the usual complimentary bathroom toiletries available (there was only 1 mini soap bar, 1 shampoo no vanity kit or enough towels) so had to ring housekeeping and check with them on this and they had forgotten apparently with refilling and someone brought up additional stuff to us. The bathroom had a shower over bath but from the looks of it it doesn't seem appealing to get into the bath and soak in. We then went out for lunch and to walk around and the hotel was really close proximity from the mall, bus exchange and Cathedral square and restaurants. Going in and out of the hotel there were staff in the door most of the time either standing, opening doors, walking about but none greeted us at all with even a cursory hi, hello, how are you (at retail shops they greet you straight away and they don't even know if you will pay). Also it was only on our last day that I noticed this light yellow stain on the bed sheet at the foot of the bed (which is generally not obvious as it was covered by the standard bedding cover). I could say that the towels do not give out a "fresh" feeling anymore and seems to have done their time- really old I think. Overall the only good thing about the hotel was its location
