“Perfect option if passing through”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

I stayed here in April. I was travelling home from London to visit family on the West Coast and did not want to drive after a long haul flight. I found everything about the service, staff and facilities to be faultless. I stayed in the newly built business wing and the room was spacious, modern, clean and well appointed. In the evening, I had a few drink in the bar where the bar staff and waitresses were friendly and informative about the wine list. This hotel offers a pickup service from the arrivals hall in the international terminal. This service was easy to arrange via a telephone next to the information desk and arrived within 3 minutes of me making the call. Again, the transfer van driver was friendly and gave excellent service. I would fully recommend this hotel as an option for those either wanting somewhere to stay before or after an international flight or even for those passing through Christchurch wanting a good quality accommodation option as it is close to State Highway 1.

Room Tip: The hotel's business wing is brand new and on a clear day would provide good views of the Southe...

A very active and happening place.. yet silent and comfortable, large rooms and well lit too. The breakfast is not elaborate but good enough to get by (choice is cooked or continental). The restaurant is buzzing with people till 1100pm and thats the nice part of it.

Room Tip: ground floor room has an amazing view.. feels like you're in a rain forest.

I stayed in a one of the newly renovated ground floor business rooms for 2 nights. These rooms are extremely well appointed and comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows and sliding door were double glazed and provided excellent soundproofing – I didn't hear any noise from the near by airport.
The room was spacious and included a comfortable corner couch, a large desk and executive office chair, a smaller arm chair, a large wall mounted flat screen TV, a mini fridge discreetly concealed in a cupboard, an excellent range of tea, coffee & mini bar facilities, a large closet and suitcase store area by the door also.
The bed was dreamy to sleep in with a good range of pillows and ample layers of bedding. The room is heated by a combination of air conditioning and a wall heater which came up to temperature quickly and provided an even temperature throughout the room.
The bathroom had a large shower which had excellent pressure and the water was gas heated so you are able to use a dial in the shower to pick the exact degree Celsius of your water. There was a large vanity which was well stocked with a great range of toiletries and plenty of towels etc. The toilet is accessed through the bathroom and has its own frosted glass door. My favourite thing about the bathroom was the speakers in the ceiling providing a sound system from the TV – so I was able to continue listening to the news whilst in the shower.
As a female business traveller, this hotel provides all the comforts while away from home including an indoor heated pool, gym and restaurant on site.
A handy hint if you are short on time in the morning – the restaurant does “Breakfast to Go” and takeaway coffee.

Very comfortable beds, excellent on-suite. Very helpful staff and a generally excellent stay.
Food from the restaurant was good too. Awesome free transport to the airport provided. Not a too long walk to the supermarket also.

I have used the hotel twice recently on business. The location is excellent if arriving by vehicle from either North or South and parking is no problem. The staff are very friendly and efficient, the food is great. The room was clean and very quiet with every requirement included. The conference rooms are well appointed and are varied in size depending on the size of the group. I would use this Hotel if travelling privately with family.

Staff here are fantastic. Gave lots of advice and just so friendly. Excellent service, spotlessly clean and comfortable enabling a great night's sleep. A home away from home. Efficient free airport transport provided.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013 via mobile

We recently spent the past few days here on the business level of the hotel. Its located a little out of town, but if you have a car this is not a problem. Our room was very clean and tidy, absolutely no issues with the room, there is no free wi-fi in the room, however it is very cheap to purchase or you can use the free wi-fi in the lounge. The buildings are also neat and tidy, and either very well maintained or new. The gardens are also well maintained.

The staff aren't overly friendly, however they are professional but a little too serious. Also, not all staff seem to be across certain offers or the inclusions of your stay, as when we checked out the final bill was incorrect.

A good stay and certainly recommended, staff are little too civil and need a little fine tuning re stay inclusions/exclusions, etc.
