We arrived at Christchurch Airport in the early hours of the morning, to find it easy to get a free hotel shuttle bus, along with a pleasant driver to tyhe hotel.
Check in was fine.

Hotel is looking a bit tired, many parts starting to need a refurb.

Room was big (as are many in NZ) along with the usual NZ kitchen type of affair.

Early breakfast was OK, had the full monty - it was all OK, nothing exceptional.

It is a handy hotel to arrive and depart Christchurch, apart from that, little to praise too much.

The rooms are spacious, quiet and nicely decorated. Very standard style of hotel room, but very nice if you are staying to fly out the next morning. Speaking of which, their free shuttle to the airport that runs at all hours is extremely useful. You just tell reception you want to go as you check out and a minute or two later a van pulls up outside to take you to the airport.

We liked the bar, it's a nice place to hang out and have a beer the night before. Also the pool is nice and sunlit and nice to destress after getting a tranzalpine train to get there.

All in all a great place to stay before flying out.

Stayed at the hotel on the last day of our trip, it is very convenient if you are catching a next morning flight as it has courtesy shuttle to the airport. The room was average and as expected, nothing to complain but nothing to praise. However, the service we got from this hotel was very impressive. When we first entered the hotel, a very nice elder gentleman helped us bring our uggage and showed our way there, reception staff was also friendly.

Please remember to included breakfast in your room rate if you want a large breakfast because you will not only get the buffet food but also a made as order omelette or pancake, tea with tea pot, latte, hot chocolate, everything.....and there was no extra cost.... breakfast was simply excellent, the waitress and restaurant manager were also very polite.

In addition, need to mention that the young man who drove us to the airport in our 22 Dec 07 departure morning provided exceptional service. Because our shuttle had to park slightly further from our airline entrance, he carried the luggage all the way to right in front of the check-in counter for us...no sign of requesting any tips (and generally in New Zealand, people are very nice and do not do things to request for tips).

Very happy with the service we got for this hotel and the Breakfast was again....a surprise to us.

The hotel is very near the airport (but no noise). It is large and is a typical business/airport could be anywhere in the world type hotel. The accommodation is spacious and good. The bar/restaurant area is very noisy and very crowded. The restaurant food is poor and even the breakfast choice and presentation is mediocre. The staff try hard and are friendly. Not a place to stay more than one night at, but well placed for the airport and for picking up campervans.
