“Good place to wait for your flight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Fun, interesting and very interactive place- we paid to do the Haglund ride and to watch the 4D movie and it was worth it. Wear jeans/ trousers to go into the simulated Antarctic storm- it really is very cold! Get there early if you can- it gets busy.

“Great day in the snow.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

A good place to spend time with the family, especially if you are from the warmer climates. There are a lot of activities based around snow and the Antarctic exploration. The ride in the Hagland vehicle is also a lot of fun.

“Goud idea but not worth the money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

Sounded interesting thought $35 per person was reasonable however turns out its $35 I won't be getting be getting back! We spent a grand total of 30 mins there. A lot of the attractions were broken I.e. movies and wall displays. Penguins were cute however only 1 floating in the water to look at. Coats extra for any future attractions I.e. 4d movie and snow vehicle ride. Wouldn't suggest visiting.

“Fascinating”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

It was easy to spend a full morning here as there is so much information to take in. We enjoyed the ride on the Hagglund tractor as well as the 4D experience. However it was the quality and variety of the information that kept us fascinated. The lunch at the restaurant was good value.

“P-p-p-pick your penguin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Very good. There's an awful lot history and information crammed in to what is essentially quite a small space - the displays are fascinating, some unusual and all very clever. Star attraction though just has to be the Blue Penguins especially if, like me, you failed to see the genuine wild ones on the coast. The snowstorm room does what it says on the label - and yes, it is very cold in there! There is, of course the usual gift shop and cafe, both very good and not as expensive as some others. Worth a look but pricey even without paying extra for the film and the snowcat ride!
