We had a lovely time at the Antarctic Centre. Kids enjoyed sitting on the various vehicles (and hugging the various giant animals!). The snow room, the penguins and the kids' space were also hits. It's a pretty pricey attraction, and I was really pleased that we just got the express pass - includes everything except the Hagglund ride and the 4D movie, which was more than enough for my 3 and 5 year olds in one visit. Interestingly, we had lunch in the cafe and found pricing there to be much *cheaper* than is usual at these kinds of places - and the food was pretty good! One note for parents with very small children - the first room after the entry is a huge cavernous space where lights and sound effects cycle through a year of Antarctic seasons. My 3 year old was TERRIFIED of the dark stormy "winter" period, so much so that it took us quite a while to move on - he kept running out to the entrance and took a while to convince him that there were quieter, lighter areas further in! I was able to get him through during the gentle lights of "summer", but then my other kid would linger and we'd be back to square one... But this space is fun and really interesting for anyone older/braver!
