“Lovely restaurant on the Avon river”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

We had a late lunch here, it is on the river with indoor and outdoor seating. They have daily specials. The wine suggested for me was wonderful, the food was great. Both of our meals were fixed exactly as we requested them. The meal was relaxed and memorable. I would recommend for lunch or dinner.

“Uninviting, extremely poor service, and overpriced limited menu”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013 via mobile

Would advise people not to eat here. We were made to wait 15 mins in awful little room with a sort of bar even though the restaurant was only a quarter full. Waitress didn't even explain why we were waiting and could have seated us at one of the set tables but didn't want to. It's no wonder the once lovely restaurant needs to sell vouchers to dine there online, buy one get one free .Thats says it all

“Causal Dinner Out”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Myself and my wife went to Tiffanys last night for the first time in around ten years. Ten years ago it was okay but even though we eat out at least once a week, it was not a restaurant we rushed back to. Going back there last night was a huge disappointment. The nicest thing about the restaurant was the waitress. She was pleasant and efficient. However the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the food and wine list were expensive. the food was very poorly presented and the fish I had was terribly overcooked and presented in a way that was very unappetising. The prices suggested that you could expect a really "up there" meal but on reflection, the huge margins applied to the wines and the very expensive meal prices did not match the very ordinary decor and lack of atmosphere of the restaurant.

“Food is soso”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Food is soso and is expensive, I paid NZD160 (like more than EUR 100) for 1 entree and 2 mains and 2 glasses of house wines. House wines I picked the premiunm house wine - it's a soso pinot noit and it cost NZD 12, then I chose a NZD 22 house wine and it's finally better.

I don't know if I'm right but for every EUR100 plus dinner in Europe, I always had a great ones (except in Paris).

Service is good though!
