“A slice of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2012

I have been a frequent guest of Linda and Paul in 2012. As business hotels are still very scarce post EQ I was recommended Pacific View Paradise as an alternative to the classic business hotel. Although a bit out of the CBD the drive up the "hill" ensures a wind down after a full day of work so that when Linda greets you at the door with a chilled glass of local NZ wine you feel as though you have just arrived home. Its a sanctuary of calm and order with luxurious surprises throughout the house. I could not more highly recommend PVP to the business traveler. Give the CBD a miss and take in the breathtaking view of Cashmere heights and the fabulous company of Linda, Paul and Lulu.

Room Tip: There are 3 choices and although I have only stayed in 2 both experiences were sublime.

Pacific View is really a Beauty! The night scenery is stunning & so was the place itself! As its situated at the top of the hill, it was a bit difficult to locate at night. Other than that, all was perfect. Beautiful rooms, nice breakfast & great host.

We are from Colorado USA and travel extensively across the globe. Whenever possible we choose to stay in B & B's. This is by far the best experience we've had at any B & B in New Zealand - we are simply blown away! Linda is not only a gracious host, she goes out of her way to insure every request is met or exceeded. Thanks to her attention to every detail, we couldn't have been more comfortable! Unlike other B & B's we've experienced in NZ, our bed was very comfortable and the extra pillows is a much appreciated plus. The panoramic ocean views during the day and the evening cityscape added an unexpected element of peace and tranquility to our stay. The gourmet breakfast is absolutely superb. We enjoyed our experience so much that we chose to spend a 2nd night when passing back thru Christchurch 4 days later!

Room Tip: Any room in this property will exceed expectation. Very quiet and private with superb views!

For those pondering which B&B to choose in Christchurch....Look no further....my wife and I spent 3 nights in Christchurch in the Sunrise suite and really couldn't have been happier. I could elaborate with superlatives...simply read all the other reviews and you won't need any convincing that this is the place to stay....As Australians, we think it's important to support our NZ cousins during a recovery period after the devastating earthquakes. Thanks Linda !

Room Tip: All the rooms are great.....

We stayed at Pacific View Paradise with Paul & Patricia on our first night in New Zealand after a 30hr flight from the uk. It was absolutely the perfect place to spend our first night. It felt like a home away from home...only much nicer! The accommodation was of an exceptionally high standard, and the views over Christchurch were absolutely stunning. We were made to feel completely welcome & at home by Patricia & Paul & after a great nights sleep we were greeted to very tasty (and substantial!!) breakfast - Lovely!

Would not hesitate to recommend Pacific View Paradise to friends & family & if we are ever in the Christchurch area again, we'll be sure to book ourselves in - If we had had time on our travels we would have returned! Thank-you again Patricia for a lovely stay.

Pacific View Paradise B&B is well named. The views over Christchurch are fantastic and matched by Linda's hospitality and the quality of the accommodation. We had a room on the top floor with use of a small living room and our own bathroom as well. breakfasts are exceptional and Linda's advice on places to visit and things to see was very useful. It was a great introduction to our holiday in New Zealand. It may be a little way out of the centre of the City and perhaps seem quite expensive but it's worth every penny (or should that be cent?)
