We called in to this winery for lunch, remembering the lovely platter we had there a couple of years ago. We were very disappointed to learn that they no longer did platters, and that all that was on the menu, at lunchtime, was a chowder, a cheese salad and a salmon salad. We were told that no wineries did platters before 3.30 pm, which was absurd, and plainly untrue, as we have had platters subsequently at more than one winery.
Anyway, the dishes we ordered, the salmon and the cheese, were quite delicious, particularly the former, although quite expensive. We also enjoyed a free tasting of some of their beautiful wines, and we loved the fantastic panoramic view from their tower over the vastness of the Marlborough vineyards.
