“Amazing facility”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This is a credit to Marlborough volunteers and to Sir Peter Jackson for his patronage and the loan of his memorabilia. It's scary when you turn around and automatically say sorry to someone who looks really human, then you realise you are talking to a model :)

“Excellent displays lousy food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

Some of the very best vintage aircraft imaginatively displayed with life-like scenes courtesy of Peter Jackson. Service and food in the restaurant either lacking, old or uninviting. Way too expensive for locals to take visitors on return visits. A "oncer" at these prices. Let down by food prior to or after the wonderful displays

“Aviation History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This is a world class venue. I spent 4 hours here and could easily have spent another day, but that is something for the future. I will certainly go back when the WW11 display that is planned is finished.

“Different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2013

This museum has attempted t display the aviation conflict of the first war realistically as possible. this does limit the amount of displays but what was there was creditably done. The staff were helpful and informative.
there are flying displays on certain days of the year. Please check web site for dates and details.

“Fascinating stuff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

We got really engrossed in the items in this fascinating museum plus all the period detail that goes with it. The technical construction of the aircraft is amazing by comparison with modern flight.
Only slight criticism was the music soundtrack playing in one of the halls repeats endlessly, and this was a bit tiresome. However overall it's a great place, and the volunteer guides were so helpful. Would love to return to see the next phase.

Hi Alison, our apologies for the repeating soundtrack. There was a glitch in the system but that is fixed now. Thank you for your review and I hope you will be back to visit in the future.
