“Lovely, warm motel with very friendly staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

This motel is the perfect place to spend 1-2 nights exploring NZ wine country. Staff were really friendly and helpful, and the wireless Internet was free and able to be topped up when needed. The in room spa was a great way to unwind after long days on the bike!

The best quality motel / hotel you will find for the price you pay. You can literally smell the cleanliness. Great quality utensils. Friendly reception. Highly recommend it. Full kitchen, nice spa bath.

Very friendly at check-in and during any interaction. The upstairs unit was clean, modern, with a very comfortable bed. There was a spa bath in the bathroom and a very good shower. It was all spotless. The kitchen was well supplied with utensils etc. I was worried the road noise would wake me (as its on a main road) but I was surprised it didn't. Close to town so can walk to restaurants etc. Will stay here again.

Room Tip: Upstairs units get more sun and have a spa bath.

We had a fabulous night at the well set up Blenheim Spa Motor Lodge. We had an upstairs room with a lovely balcony, a big spa bath (with amazing water pressure!), a full kitchen and so tidy and modern.
Nick and Liza are great hosts, friendly, happy people, just the kind of people who should be running a Motel!
It is close to town and there are some great restaurants nearby as well as a nice little tavern.
We will definately stay there again and will reccommend it to others as well.

We stopped here on our honeymoon, it was a short notice booking, and we were looked after exceptionally well, (not least the free bottle of bubbly and nice card in the room). Very clean, very good value, would certainly visit again, but next time, it won't be a honeymoon. Oh and the new husband says the spa bath was excellent.

We recently spent three weeks travelling around New Zealand and found this motel to be best value overall. We stayed in a Studio Spa unit which was very roomy, spotlessly clean and up-to-date. We stayed for three nights so the drawer storage space was important to us. It had an extra bedroom, full kitchen and spa. Very good inexpensive laundry facilities. The owner is very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: After speaking with another guest, I would say that the Studio Spa unit offers best value and comfor...

Peaceful location, the host was warmth personified and had several helpful suggestions about local activities (despite, as we later learnt from staff, his wife being in hospital). Comfortably appointed rooms with all the amenities we needed. After a long drive from Franz Josef Glacier in persistent rain, we did not have the energy to explore town.
However we had a very comfortable night's rest, did our laundry (coin operated washer / dryer on site), and left in time to catch the Inter-Islander ferry to Wellington.

Staff was very helpful and let us print the Ferry Tickets in their office.

Would recommend this hotel to anybody seeking a comfortable stay at a good price.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Ground Floor are better if you have much luggage
