We booked a large group and the pre-booking was excellent, friendly and very helpful. But unfortunately the food and service on the night was not very good. Steak was thin and over cooked, vegetables were just boiled without any sauce, the vegetarian dish was not very nice either. Only a couple of people enjoyed their meals. We never got offered dessert and when we asked were told the kitchen was closed. The waitresses were not that friendly and they completely mucked up the bill and had no idea what was ours on the bill and what was not. They turned the lights out on our side of the restaurant while we were still seated and started closing up. Will try again but every other Ale House we love, this one was a let down.
