“Nice place”

Nice place to eat with a family. Reasonable prices, good value, children's menu. Very friendly staff. Lots of social activities going on.

“Lovely venue, lackluster breakfast”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

We went last weekend and ordered the big breakfast. At $20 it's in the upper end of Big Breakfasts in Wellington. The hashbrowns were generic factory made flavourless items and the sausages arrived cold. Some of the other dishes look good, but I'd stear well clear of the big breakfast. If you want a good brunch head round the corner to Fidels, they do a fantastic big breakfast for about the same price, that has home made hashbrowns, and much better qulity ingredients.

“Just drinks not food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 22, 2013

Their menu is a bit lacking. I come here for birthday parties with friends and there's not enough appetizers selection. It's either you get chips (fries) or something expensive around 30 dollars. So you just end so drinking but nothing to nosh with but fries. Very nice atmosphere and you almost expect it to be a tapas style restaurant for socializing. But no.

“Great for family gatherings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 10, 2013

We have met family here on several occasions. The service is consistently good, cheerful and accommodating. Staff think on their feet and are willing to advise on dietary constraints. Eg gluten and dairy intolerance. We visited on mother's day. Face painting, a photo booth, room for little ones, food generally provided in good time and overall cheerful atmosphere. A gift draw for the mothers who all received a gift added to the pleasure. Often busy it can be wise to book your table first. We can usually find parking relatively close. The acoustics are okay too so we can have a conversation without shouting even when it is busy..

“Good Pub meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

We had a group of 15 people, including some children, for a birthday celebration. They set up a long table at one side of the restaurant so that we were a little private. One friendly waiter looked after us very well, the food was pretty good straightforward "pub" food. Everyone enjoyed themselves and commented what a good place it had been to go to. Good music for the adults who stayed on later.
