“Quaint little Italian 10 mins walk from the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014 via mobile

We walked from town, roughly about 10mins on a cold night and it was definitely worth it.
Tiny restaurant, would seat maybe 20, quite quaint.
Average priced drinks, roughly $7. We had the tomato and basil soup and a garlic bread for start. The soup was amazing, garlic bread was just enough for two, sprinkled with Parmesan and garlic salt on top, yummo.
Pasta gambieri and spaghetti el salmoni for mains. Both beautiful dishes. Very reasonably priced, approx $16 each. Generous servings too.
We will definitely be back next time we are in Wellington.

“Do not eat here-very disappointing”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2014

We visited this quaint little pizzeria tonight and it was so bad that it has prompted me to post my very first review. We ordered the Stromboli and Marinara as take away which was made in the 10 minutes that it was estimated at. Once we opened the boxes at home we found 2 small sized pizzas with basically a thin made base with cheese. The toppings were so small you could hardly see them. The mussels and calamari were tinned, the pepperoni leathered and the cheese fat dripping from out fingers. This is not a place to eat or get take aways. I cannot believe that businesses like this can still survive-Avoil!

“My daughter's favourite Italian cafe”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

A small family operated cafe seating 14. A small menu is offered, but the taste is wonderful. We have eaten every dish on the menu and have a couple of favourites: garlic pizza bread, ravioli in Granny's creamy tomato sauce, pasta carbonara and marinara. It is cheap, cheerful and comfy. It is in Willis St, a 5-10 minute walk from the corner of Willis and Lambton Quay.
