We recently spent 3 days at the Holiday Inn, choosing this hotel because of the reviews on Trip Advisor. We were fortunate to be given a room on the 13th floor, looking out over the harbour area, the view was great. The room itself was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Adjustable central heating was a bonus!
We particularly liked the extra amenities (lovely takeout meals delivered to the room by restaurant staff, a latest movie channel on the TV (pay per view) a well stocked bar fridge and confectionary selection (although a little pricey). We also enjoyed a soak in the large spa pool while watching the sun go down.
We enjoyed our 3 days in Wellington and have no hesitation in recommending the Holiday Inn to other travelers. It was a pleasure to come home to after a day's outing.

We stayed just 1 night at the Holiday Inn but I was suprised as it was much better than other Holiday Inn we have been in Europe. The Hotel was very modern, and the room very nice decorated and new. Breakfast was ok but the price we got for the hotel booked directly from their website was very good.
If you like be close to the nightlife or restaurants this Hotel is a bit far away, well, you can go there on foot and in 25 minutes you are there.

We had a one night stay here after a wild and woolly trip across the Cook Straight from Picton. We arrived in rain and wind, so appreciated the valet parking ($25). Smooth check-in had us in our room soon after arrival. The room was medium sized and well appointed (fridge with mini-bar, kitchenette, cable TV, generous bathroom with a bath and a large comfy bed) There is an issue with the glass panel between the toilet and the bedroom, I just don't get it, maybe in rooms on the opposite side of the Hotel, it is between the shower and bedroom? We had a long drive to Napier the following day, so opted to eat in the "Plate" restaurant, a very good meal indeed, and a nice selection of wine by the glass. The "take-in" breakfast was also of good quality and reasonably priced.

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for 2 nights. It is a new modern hotel centrally located within walking distance from the main railway station. Rooms were superbly appointed. Very spacious with full kitchen facilities including cooker and microwave. You even get a pillow menu. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent. Cleanliness was of a very high standard. The cost of thehotel was extremely reasonable.
