“Massive!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2012

The “new” Cathedral of St Paul is a massive building. While not the most beautiful from outside, the church is staggering on the inside. The scale of the interior is huge, and it is nicely and tastefully decorated. A beautiful church and well worth a look simply for the scale of the building. Just don’t miss the Old St Paul’s which is just a few blocks away – it is pretty cool too.

“Dreadful architecture”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2012

A blot on the landscape of Wellington - who ever allowed such an architectural travesty to be built?

“Good in parts”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2011

St Paul's, a large Anglican cathedral constructed in a couple of stages over the past thirty years and used for state funerals as well as regular services, is a (from the outside) pretty unattractive building concealing a very tall, light interior. The Lady Chapel, which is a salvaged historic church building relocated to the cathedral side is worth a quiet visit.
