Have been to quite a few Malaysian Restaurants in Te Aro, and I find this to be the best tasting and most authentic Malaysian Restaurant in town. Why?
1: They've got crispy fried bits of lard (Chicharron) stir fried with their Char Kway Teow. Nothing beats the aromatic smell of lard...!
2: They make things like Hokkien Mee A.K.A Prawn Noodles Soup better than some food stalls back home in Malaysia/Singapore!
3: They don't have generic "thrashy" chinese food like Chop Suey, Kung Pao Chicken and Sweet and Sour Pork or worse, Singapore Noodles on the menu!
What this means is that they're owners who are proud of where they're from, want to share their real food culture and they're not all over the place trying to please everyone's taste buds!
