We stayed at this hotel the night before our trip to Singapore.
Perfect location, and we were upgraded to a luxury room on arrival, We were rapt, as the accommodation was paid for with our Fly Buys points.
Would reccommend this hotel to everyone.

We stayed at the Citylife apartments when visiting Wellington for a wedding. The apartments were everything we required. The staff were friendly and corteous. We were fortunate enough to be upgraded and our room was spacious. The Lambton Quay area is relatively quiet outside of business hours, however restaurants and pubs are only a short walk away. Our apartment was initially lacking a lot of equipment in the kitchen, however after a call to reception, this was rectified quickly. The Citylife apartments provided an affordable option to a traditional hotel stay.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Located close to Cuba Street for dining, Courtney Place for clubs and bars, as well as Waterfront and in Lambton Quay.

The 2 bedroom apartment I had was huge and well furnished. There was a master bedroom with tv and ensuite, a second bedroom, a large bathroom with laundry faciliities (washing machine and dryer), full sized kitchen with stove top, microwave and dishwasher, as well as dining table and lounge room.

There was an open room called the 'Living Room' which had facilties for breakfast and evening drinks. There was no proper restauarant onsite but you could order room service from other restaurants and charge to the room. Would usually not be ok for a hotel of this standard however as it is about 10 - 15 minutes away from Cuba Street where there are a lot of quality restaurants, that is not a proble.

The staff were very nice and helpful.

There is a small gym. Entrance was strange as reception was on floor 6 and entrance on level 1. Lifts weren't great as kept going down before it went up even if you wanted to go up.

Overally would highly recommend to business travellers, group of friends, or families if they need space for a good price without the full service and prices of upscale 5 star hotels.

The first apartment we were allocated was at the back, and the curtains were pulled across, so after the reception staff has left, we opened them, expecting to let in some light. Not so. The windows are floor to ceiling, but look at a blank concrete wall, dirty and with birds nesting only inches from the windows. Additionally, one of the two huge windows was almost opaque with bird droppings. There is no air conditioning at this hotel either, and we certainly would not have wanted to open the windows. We asked reception to come and look at the windows, and the very charming girl who came up agreed it was not acceptable, and in fact said she had blocked the room off and could not understand how we had been allocated it. We eventually were given a two bedroom suite at the front. Again, no air con, and very noisy during the day as these room look at Lampton Quay, but quiet at night. The furnishings etc. were fine and we were happy with the central location. However, the room was not properly cleaned when we took it over, with sticky marks on the dining table and coffee table, and these were not removed during our three night stay. Breakfast was adequate, but on our last day, no hot food had appeared by 07.30. Not a great miss, as the bacon and scrambled egg stew in bain maries and are very unappetising. Stick to the Continental selection, avoiding tinned peaches.

Stayed here for 4 nights to visit family and was happy with the value for money received.

Citylife provided us with everything we needed, without paying for the extras of a 5 star hotel. It is centrally positioned but is very private, quiet and gives you the ability to cook and catch up on the washing!

We were located on level 5 at the back (looking over a steeply terraced garden) in an Executive 1 bedroom and it was great to stay somewhere that was peaceful - no traffic noise. If you are looking for great views, this is not the hotel for you.

The location was great for us - Citylife is directly behind the entrance to the Motorway (not that you realised this as there was no traffic noise). It was so convenient for visits north of the city. Highly recommend that if you visit Wellington & get a car, that you do a trip up the west coast to Paraparaumu and beyond (such picturesque coastal scenes).

Very good access to the CBD & the waterfront and the hotel is really close to the Cable Car (everyone who visits should go on this!). Although it was a good 10 minute walk to get up to Cuba St and Courtney Place, which is the restaurant precinct (and the only part of town that seems to be alive at night).

Having researched, we knew that the entrance was at the 'back' of the Hotel (not on Lambton Quay, although there is access to the lifts from here). The entry is at the very end of a back street, on Level 6 of the building. Small but satisfactory and the staff were friendly.

There was parking available (which we used) but be aware that whilst there is parking at the hotel, there are only about 8 spots - so you will have to use the the public Wilson Parking up the road. It isn't too bad, but it is quite steep getting to & from the hotel to the car park.

The interior of our room was so spacious! Massive room, LCD television and DVD player with Sky Cable as well as a full dining table, oven/microwave and a washer/drier. The bedroom is a separate room, however there was no direct air-conditioning so we had to leave the door to the living area open. Not too pleasant when this was discovered, but wasn't a big deal once we opened the door.

Be aware that the general fittings are a little bit dated. The lifts are not new, the building itself feels a little bit '60s, but the interior of the room is very modern.

Would definitely stay here again!
