“Delightful mix”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

From high art to everyman entertainment, Te Papa has it all. Gorgeous waterfront location, too. Went to Andy Warhol - make a short film of yourself - Impressionists a bonus, quick walk around eclectic mix of exhibitions and out; there's always something to see and plenty to keep kids engaged or adults interested.

“Andy Warhol exhibition ten out of ten”

Must try the earthquake house - very real experience. The gift shop also has some amazing stock. Wonderful architecture of this new building.

“Easy to lose track of time here”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

So much to see - a very visitor - friendly place to visit, not a stuffy old museum but innovative displays which make learning fun. No wonder there were so many children there!

“Andy Warhol”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

This review is just for the Andy Warhol exhibition. It was quite disappointing. The price I felt was a bit expensive, $17.50 entrance and $5 audio. There was a lot of his work missing and seemed to have a lot of the same thing. I did learn new things about him and his work which was good however some of the audio was very very long and boring. I loved the 3 minute area, was good to watch and listen to that. Fun to take part. However overall I would not tell anyone 'yes go and see it."

“excellent presentations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

First time returning to NZ and always visit Te papa to learn more about kiwi history and culture with teenage sons. Exhibits are informative and interesting. Also being keep updated with new displays and recent events and exhibitions. Looked at foundations with rubber mountings 2 days before 6.5 earthquake hit the city! Free entry for such great info means the donations boxes always being filled. Museum shop also contains interesting books and stuff.
