We spent 4 days at the Museum Hotel in March. Got a good deal - double room with harbour view and patio....well, we could see the harbour but we also looked directly up the very large backside of the golden hippopotamus advertising the restaurant of the same name. Bit of a surprise. Check which room you get if you get a good deal! Watch out for rooms on the first floor. Apart from that, the decor was fantastic, the art work tour very interesting, the staff (well all but the breakfast restaurant staff) were really helpful and friendly and our stay was very enjoyable. The downside was the high price of drinks and food. We only used the restaurant once (due to previous noted snooty waitress and expensive food). Recommend Pandoro bakery across the road - fantastic food and half the price.
