I was excited about trying this place after reading a number of positive reviews.
While the coffee was certainly good, and the scambled eggs on toast were good, the service was appalling!! I can forgive the fact that the table was dirty, but the way the young "gentleman behind the counter served me was disgusting. Who does he think he is!
As I went to settle the bill, I stood in front of him, and he ignored me for a couple of minutes. At first I thought he was joking, as I waited for the punch line... finally with some reluctance he asked if I wanted to settle the bill (ah, yeah). By this stage I didn't even want to talk to him. When I handed over my money, he dropped the change, almost with contempt into my hand. As I turned to leave, him and his esteemed colleagues laughed hysterically. Why? What's the private joke? Is it "see how long we can get the customer to stand there without acknowledging them, and whoever wins gets a prize at the end of the week"? Dude, it's customer service, it's not that hard!!! Maybe it was early in the morning, and he hadn't had a coffee yet..
I know the owner is excellent, and her customer service is perfect, so it's dissappointing that one or two employees are letting the side down.
I won't be returning to thunderbirds any time soon. Try somewhere else.
