We turned up on a Sunday night without a reservation expecting no trouble to get in. We were surprised at how busy it was, but the staff had no problem fitting us in.
We had a voucher (grabone) that restricted our choices, but there was still a huge amount to choose from. This is helped by the fact that most dishes give you a choice of meat and heat too.
This means there's something for everyone, whatever mood you're in.
The food itself tasted great, although the roti was a little too crispy. We tried a chicken pad pen and duck in love curry (one of the few meals without a meat choice). Both were very flavoursome with the right and expected amount of heat.
Is it authentic? I've no idea. But for a tasty meal, in a place that's obviously popular, it was good food. Not sure it offers the best value though and it has a lot of competition in Wellington.
