“A great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Out of seven places we stayed on the North Island of New Zealand, this was the best. Huge, modern room on the harbour. Within a 10-minute walk of some fantastic bars and restaurants, especially The Brooklyn, and great value for money. Very impressed!

We stayed here for two nights and overall it was very good.
The rooms were clean, beads large and bathrooms very nice.
We had breakfast on the balcony and had the Eggs Benidict which was superb! Coffee was standard. We got a deal through "Grab One" not sure what the usuall rate is, but would stay again if it was reasonable.

Stayed at the Trinity for 2 nights, overall impressed by the hotel, very clean and modern. The facilities were above average and the meal we received from the on site restaurant was better than most hotel restaurants. Will definitely be back again.

Room Tip: Go for there sea view rooms, they are much better than the garden views and are away from the railro...

Hotel overpriced even though we went through Wotif, room average no sea view as depicted on website, great view of overbridge (concrete) room a bit dated. Hotel looked tidy from road but scruffy out the back. Staff friendly and helpful, breakfast great. Value for money poor wouldnt choose to stay again

The romance package was great. The room was clean with all modern facilities.
The air conditioner was unable to cope with the heat.
For a $300 a night room, some more coffee, sugar and fresh milk is expected (3 sachets supplied.
You may expect to be given a higher quality shampoo, soap etc than supplied.
The restaurant meal was delicious and obviously cooked by an experienced chef.
Enjoyed the view and location immensly.
Staff were friendly and professional.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a harbour view

Stayed at the Trinity for 2 nights, overall impressed by the hotel, very clean and modern. My only gripe is the charges for WIFI which despite the hotels claims is not free in the slightest, ok its free for the first 24mb of data....I used that 24mb by just downloading my facebook update!...you are then directed to a pay wall which has the most expensive wifi tariff I have ever seen at a hotel anywhere in the world (I am well traveled) Thankfully I was able to use 3G.

Enjoy staying a modern well run hotel, rooms are well equipped and no fault that I can see. Comfty beds and pillows and of a good size. Located in a great location and the restaurant will give you a good meal whether it is for dinner or breakfast. The lounge view to the water mates a nice place for a beer.

Room Tip: Sea views with balacony are the best but can be $$$ All rooms are quiet
