“Impressive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

We found the rooms to be immaculate, beautifully-presented, and very well priced. The grounds were beautiful.

The sound-proofing between rooms must be top-notch, too, as we were staying as part of a large group, and various board games / socialising / infants did not disturb people in the rooms next door at all.

The hosts were approachable, cheerful, and did everything they could to simplify the process of splitting room costs between individual people in the group.

I slept in a studio room one night, and in a larger room (with more people) the next. Both nights I had a fabulous sleep.

I would absolutely stay here again, and am planning to return with my family.

We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay as part of a large group at the Summit Motor Lodge.
Our cleaning staff does a great job in the presentation and maintenance of our rooms and it is good to see that this is appreciated by our guests.

As always it is essential to respect the rights of others and we are appreciative of the fact that your evenings, although very enjoyable, were quiet and recognised the needs of others to have a good night's sleep.

It is always difficult sleeping in a bed that is not your own but the extra comfort that our 1000gm per sq.m topper pads brings means that our guests sleep very well and you are proof of that.

It was a pleasure having your group.

From checking to our departure I really can't fault the Summit Motor Lodge. We had a two bedroom unit which was very clean and meet our needs perfectly. Well done to Mike and Judith for providing such a great motel for our family stay.

First time in Tauranga for me , where I was attending a conference. I have nothing negative to say about this accommodation, and the service provided by Mike and Judith were well above the call of duty ,even though at times we intruded upon their personal lives. They have a true understanding of customer service. Well done guys , would definitely stay there again if ever up your way.

We didn't experience road noise. The bed was comfy, the room was clean & the staff pleasant and helpful. The was a frig & a microwave though we did not use this amenity. We were on the move so just needed a good nights rest. I would recommend this hotel, thumbs up!

This is a great value for families. We have three teen age girls and stayed in Unit #1. Plenty of room for everyone - units well appointed and clean. The hosts were very nice and helped me with a couple of problems in a kind a freindly manner. They gave us a short carton of milk when we checked in for hot chocolate and our morning coffee - a very nice touch. I was able to do a much needed load of laundry and felt as though we got a little rest during a very active vacation. The hotel is centrally located to the major road ways, down town, the marina and many restaurants.

The unit was well equipped for a studio, with a microwave and hot plates for cooking. It was clean and comfortable and, though it was a Saturday night, there was little road noise. However, we weren't tempted to sit out on the deck which looked a little shabby. The host was helpful and friendly, and we thought it was good value for a city motel.

A little street noise in the morning, next time I would stay on other side of motel, away from street, hosts very friendly, rooms nice and clean, ice in freezer. Warm welcome and farewell. Spa or small pool out of action when I was there

Room Tip: Stay away from main road if you want a sleep in
