We spent the whole morning there. The staff were lovely and the food was nice. A must do if you have time to kill!

“Amazing Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2012

Hotel staff recommended we visit taupo puzzle world and so glad we did. the place was amazing, a lot of fun for us, ended up spending the morning and most the afternoon there. great activities and loved you could pay per activity and the fact that the prices were so cheep was a bonus. The staff were by far the friendliest people we meet while in taupo and had a great time solving the puzzles with them. hands down if we ever visit new zealand again this is one of the stops we will visit.

“Good but nothing fantastic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

I stumbled upon this attraction by accident actually; I was initially looking for a place to stop by and then I found this. It has a café-like setting, with numerous puzzles which you can attempt while grabbing a bite or getting a drink. Food and beverage is average, not too bad but not fantastic either. There are some mazes which you can attempt too, but for a fee, and I think it’d be fun for the kids. There is a section dedicated to selling all different sorts of puzzles too, some are cute, some are cool, but can be a bit on the pricey side. As an en route point, this makes a pleasant stop. I wouldn’t specially come out all the way here for the puzzles however.

“Not value for money”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

It is a good concept for a place, but the location and puzzles themselves are pretty basic and fairly shabby.

Our puzzle loving son was fairly bored by what was on offer and the fact that each activity had to be paid for separately was off putting.

the cafe is also very basic, the coffee was good, but the food options limited and mostly unhealthy.

The puzzle shop is excellent with a wide variety of unusual and fascinating puzzles, they are expensive, but also fairly unique.

“It's puzzle time”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2012

Cute little place. I like the fact that you only pay for what you do, although the individual activities can add up pretty easily.
