One of the best properties we've ever had the pleasure of visiting. We chose a lakefront apartment which was well worth every penny: fantastic views, excellently equipped kitchen, clean and comfortable. Management extremely helpful: when we discovered our (very large) refrigerator wasn't working offered to move us to another apartment but then decided it would be better to hire a new one to allow us to stay where were were: full compliments to Renee for whom nothing seemed to be too much trouble, including recommendations on sightseeing, attractions and, of course, fishing trips:our recommended guide, Richard, helping us pick up six very large trout in less than 90 minutes on the lake! Fabulous time at a fabulous property with fabulous management. Thanks again.We'd definitely stay again and can't recommend it highly enough.

Room Tip: 1st floor lakefront (yes, there is a lift and the views make it well worthwhile). (and note, there...

We stayed here for the weekend, with my daughter and our 2 grandsons (ages 3 & 5) The manager was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. WIFI INTERNET was free of charge, one just had to go to the reception to get a password..
Everything was excellent, underground car park with lift to apartment, so safe. Everything was clean and pristine, the kitchen area was very adequately stocked with pans crocks etc....so you could cook if you wanted which is quite useful if you have the children...
The grandchildren loved the pool and it was very warm and child and adult friendly....as there was a good length for any serious swimmers to get to grips with!!!
No traffic noise from the main road adjacent, but we did have an apartment at the rear...Hot tub was fantastic and the deck was equipped with nice table and chairs...
Sky tv in the lounge and freeview tv in the bedrooms.....
Will definitely stay here again....
The only drawback is it is not in walking distance of the town but otherwise Fabulous!

Room Tip: Not sure but ours overlooked the pool, so if you had older children it would be ideal so they could...

Such a great couple of nights with my son and his 2 friends before him starting university in Otago, a special waterskiing treat for us all, staying at Sacred Waters. Being from Wellington my kids love fresh water skiing in lake Taupo, the unit was exactly as described and fantastic, beautifullly cleaned and presented. Having a large boat that will simply not fit in other 4 or 5 star resorts Liz went out of her way and arranged other secure parking.
We had a great family BBQ, Liz and Renee ensuring everything was there for us. They even arranged to get a Dominion Post delivered to my unit.
Handy to town, even the pizza guy on the last night got it to us hot and scrumptious.
Will definately stay again if I get back to Taupo with my kids.

My husband and I stayed at Sacred Waters for two nights in January 2013. We stayed in a Lake view apartment and had a wonderful view of the lake. The apartment itself was hugh, great big ranch sliders allowed you to enjoy the views and also gave you access to a big out door area, a hot tub in one corner and table and chairs at the other. Sunsets on the deck would be wonderful, except we never got the chance to experience that due to rain.
The apartment had a full kitchen of utensils if you chose to cook, coffee, milo and tea are provided. Renee our host was lovely and only to happy to help us out. Frontline staff are so important as first impressions count and her personality is such an asset to these apartments. When we return to Taupo, we wont look anywhere else to stay, we were very happy with what we found. The apartments were very comfortable, good beds, great size, clean and tidy with great views, what more could you want.

Wow, all I can do is echo the previous reviews. Beautiful, comfortable apartment with great view. We were in apartment 14 a large 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment. Easy access from the undercover parking, great pool and amazing wrap around balcony with hot tub. Close to town if you want to cook and stay in which we happily did as apartment was such a pleasure to be in. Would recommend a stay here, wish we were staying longer

After much research we decided on Sacred Waters for 4 nights over Christmas. We wanted somewhere clean, modern, convenient, family friendly (we have a 23 month old active son and with a view !

We made the right choice! Lake Taupo is a beautiful place and the accommodation at Sacred Waters - stunning.

Thanks to Renee & Liz for their hospitality. We LOVED our stay at Sacred Waters.

If you are looking for quality accommodation - this is IT.

Highlights for us;
* air conditioning (it was warm over Christmas)
* Walking distance to town
* easy access to the lakefront - we walked after dinner every night with our son in his pram
* Fully equipped kitchen that was modern and clean. Makes life so much easier with a toddler!
* two bathrooms
* Gorgeous pool and hot tub on the balcony
* Large balcony with AMAZING VIEWS - penthouse B (our son loved running around here)
* Private, central and lovely hosts :-)

Thanks Renee and Liz, we had a lovely Christmas at Sacred Waters !
