We booked this hotel last minute, on route to it, so weren't really sure what to expect...
The hotel itself has been tastefully restored recently. We paid an extra $10 per room for a lake view - it's worth noting that the lake is someway away though (though you can see it!)
It's also worth noting that the Hotel is situated next to a truck stop, which does not make for a quiet nights sleep!
The food was ok - breakfast took forever to arrive, and we felt like we were getting in the way, rather than being customers....
Overall we were disappointed, and I think it's a bit expensive for what it is...

This hotel is lovely to look at - but rooms are very small - bathrooms even more so! We had three staying in the room so really didn't appreciate the glass door to the bathroom! Nice bar/ bistro - dissapointed the main restaurant wasn't open - we were there in peak season too!

Probaly best described as a 'boutique hotel'. Modern, fashionable, small rooms. The staff were brilliantly friendly. The bar was good and the meals served up were of good quality. Unfortunately they didn't see fit to open the restaurant because it was mid-week (they only open at weeekends out fo season) even though the hotel was full (Lions tour - but hey, they'd only had 4 years to make plans!)
The hotel is a little out of town so you'll need a car to drive in - but it is located by the hot springs. I'd recommend the individual hot spa baths ;-)
The only bug-bear was the small room and even more minute shower-room.
