Disappointed with this hotel, especially the bedroom and bathroom size. Built in 1885 it has been renovated but part of that process has been inserting a minute bathroom into the bedroom. Consequently the wash basin is UK cloakroom size and the bedroom is not large enough for the double bed ( actually 2 3footers put together. Drawer space? Only the bedside cabinets. Breakfast service was slow and although we were on a B & B deal, only one cup of coffee was included in the package. Highway 5 runs close by -hence lorry noise at night and there is a communal balcony along the rear of the hotel so we were reluctant to leave open the bedroom window. To the end of the site the hotel seems to be erecting a time share condo block, tho there was no noise from this. Location is way out from the centre of town where the restaurants are and you need to drive in to town. There are other hotels actually on the lakeside and closer to town. Hotel has no air con, steps( no ramp) at entrance and no lift. Don`t know why the Lions chose this one! We ate in some good restaurants in town.
