“RUNNING REVIEW: Great short run. That can become a great long run.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 23, 2013

A lap around Pukekura is about 3km probably. Beautiful running in easy flat paths in native bush, round a gorgeous lake.

If you run from here down Liardet St to the Coastal walkway, add on whatever you like - there's a good 8km of running on the central city section of the Coastal walkway. WARNING: the walkway is magical, scenic as hell, amazing Len Lye wind wand. But, like so many pathway architects who aren't runners - it's made of concrete. Sigh. Duh. Sheesh. Et cetera. So strap on your most shock absorbing shoes. And take it slowwwwww.

“Christmas in the Park - Highly Recommend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

From the fluorescent walks in the dark. To the buskers and people that make this a special few weeks of fun. WOMAD destination - and what a destination with so many bands and so much to do and see you really need 2 days to enjoy and see what is around. Highly recommend going on the lake and rowing to your hearts content - my favorite
