“Amazing views and hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Everytime we arrive at Koura Lodge we feel at home, the hosts are as amazing as the views, no request however trivial is a problem. We always have a spa on the shore of Lake Rotorua and the breakfasts are to die for.

Room Tip: Love the views from either the lake front rooms or the hill view rooms - special place

What a great lodge to stay at. It is right on the shore of a beautiful lake. It has a very cool spa perched out over the lake which was topped off a great day! The managers were a very nice couple with great advice about tourist activities that suited our needs. So far on our trip around NZ this would be our coolest spot and best service.

Beautiful peaceful Lodge right on the lake front made the perfect getaway for a girls night away. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere created by the very knowledgable managers, who allowed us to enjoy the lodge at our lesuire however were always available for anything we may need. Thank you for making two mums night away perfect! Just a shame we didnt have longer!

We spent 3 days with our kids. Nice place at an affordable price. We enjoyed the company of the owner. It is a nice hotel but nothing to compare with a Lodge. The view is amazing but the two young managers are not made for hospitality. Minimum services delivered by them. You better ask the owner.
The price/quality is very good compared to Lodge.

Stayed for "unfortunately" two nights only in this wonderful lodge overlooking the morning-foggy lake. The facility is of great quality, very good bed, comfortable bathroom, and cosy living room. Home-made breakfast offered by the nicest staff ever helps you kick start the day. Before/after, I strongly recommend to use one of the kayaks to go for a quick tour on the lake, they are usually sitting by the little beach, next to the spa and sauna. Last thing: Go for an air ride on the float plane that picks you up directly at the lodge, on the platform on the lake, and you will feel what being exclusive means.

We stayed for two nights, as part of a flydrive holiday, in a room overlooking the lake. The view is fantastic and the hospitality second to none. There are kyaks to use and life jackets provided. There is also a sauna and jacusi down by the lake and sun loungers on the lawn. Breakfast is more or less what you like and when you like. We got a take-away from the town, which is a five minute drive away, and ate it outside our room on the terrace. Can't say about the price as it was part of a package.
Wish we could have stayed longer.
