“Great place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013

One of the better places we've stayed at while in New Zealand. Facilities are very new and clean, comfy beds, centrally located to all the attractions, nice spa to chill and relax in the yard, fast and free WIFI, and not forgetting, very accommodating and friendly hosts, Peter & Mike.

Highly recommended! Would surely be back should I visit NZ again!

We enjoyed two nights while attending the B&B Association NZ Conference. Instead of staying at the hotel where the conference was held, we wanted to support a B&B. This was a good choice as the hosts were wonderful - their place is fitted out beautifully on the inside. Absolutely no gaps in the service. Mike and Peter have worked really hard transforming the back of the property and are now going to revamp the front too. Would stay again.

Stayed a couple of nights in Rotorua during the busy summer holidays and this homestay is great.... walking distance to the central city; has peace and quiet plus a great private courtyard with a spa pool to chill out and relax day or night. Comfortable beds and the facilities are clean and very new including WiFi internet. The hosts are great, respect one's privacy and oblige to accommodate breakfast times as one requires. Breakfasts are included in the tariff; extremely filling and help set the day off on a good note. One can come and go as one pleases and Mike and Peter offer good advice on the attractions Rotorua offers. Enjoyed the stay.

Room Tip: Ask for the room that goes directly out to the Spa pool.

Mike and Peter's place is fabulous, a hidden gem nestling discreetly within the leafy Rotorua suburbs. As hosts the boys are tremendous, nothing is too much trouble for either of the guys. They are very keen that as a traveller you experience all that Rotorua has to offer and offered much advice regarding things to do and arranged a couple of trips for me. Without doubt it was their unbridled enthusiasm that encouraged me to go white water rafting, something I hadn't considered before. The guys took me on a tour of the town and introduced me to the best Indian restaurant in Rotorua. The guys enhanced my stay in Rotorua; I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. Their hot tub is marvellous, a soothing way to start and end the day. As a new B&B, in my opinion the accommodation is beyond the standard of many good hotels. The room where I stayed was excellent, the quality of the bed and the linen faultless. The breakfast too is served to an extremely high standard; I have stayed in much more expensive accommodation and had much worse breakfasts. I guess my only criticism is that the boys are so eager to make sure you have a great time; they almost try a little too hard. The accommodation is marketed as homestay, which is certainly what you get; Peter & Mike welcome you into their home. If you expecting the sterile corporate hotel experience this may not be the place for you. The boys understand and have put in place all the facets of a tremendous place to stay. Whilst they go all out to make their guests relax, they need to relax a little too. Keep up the good work guys – you are doing a grand job.

Our short stay in Rotorua was a pleasure: friendly hosts who helped to get to the best places, delicious breakfast, comfortable room, close to the city centre and next to the Kuria Park. We enjoyed also the spa pool.

This homestay is wonderfully comfortable and has great hosts who go the extra mile for their guests. There are lots of little extras that you don't normally get in a homestay and it's only a few minutes walk to the centre of the city. The spa pool area is also very nice. It's a pleasant place to relax for a few nights.
