“Gr8 Day Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We took our niece & 3 nephews here for the day. They had a blast! They loved the animal attractions & could've rode the Big Slash ride forever! The only down side for us ,is that we got caught up in the queue for the bird show,( that we were not going to) not realising until 30 minutes later, that we could've just walked on through to the big splash. It was so congested in that area, would've been good if someone was directing or organising this area a bit better. The other good thing is that you were able to leave the park & return later in the day, as we also did the Skyline Luge, next door.

“Family Fun”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Rainbow Springs is great.
We spend a Sunday there and its a great place to see NZ nature. The bird show is beautiful and the Kiwi area is a must see attraction.
If you can, pay some extra to see the behind the scenes of the Kiwi. It is a great attraction.
Cheers.

“What to do on a wet day in Rotorua?”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2013

We were in the relatively unusual position of appalling weather in Rotorua due to the Christmas cyclone. Our heli trip being cancelled, we ended up here. It was pouring with rain, and so we didn't see the park at its sparkling best but it actually turned out to be quite good fun. The fish were pretty amazing, and the native bird exhibits were neat. The main draw for us was the kiwi experience - we did the "backstage tour", and it was definitely worth it. Otherwise, we simply would not have seen a kiwi on our trip. In the nocturnal enclosure, there were four of them positively scampering around (and much bigger than I expected). Plus one trying hard to hatch. We went with modest expectations, and we actually had a pretty good time. The splash ride was fun in the rain, and the cafe was pretty good too.

“Fun in rotorua”

Loved the bird show. Liked the free spring water especially as it was so hot that day. The kiwi enclosure was great you could see the kiwi up close.

“Fun for the family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Easy to visit attraction with a nice big car park and great amenities. Went to the bird show first which was amazing and very well done! the presenter did a fantastic job and kept everyone entertained. Great opportunity to see lots of animals up close and the Big Splash kept us all talking about Rainbow Springs for the rest of the holiday. Didn't have to wait in line long at all and was a thrilling and informative ride. The Big Splash is a must do!
