We had lunch here and were so impressed with the attentive service and beautiful meals. Great coffee too. Will definitely be back.

“Always good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

Consistently good food and service on the numerous occasions I have eaten here. The only downfall for me is the close proximity of tables - so I have lunch here with friends but not a good place for business. Love it though

We enjoyed lunch here a week ago and returned for breakfast. Proper French Toast, just right, lovely compote and almonds- beautiful flavour! Great coffee, welcoming staff and peaceful surroundings!

“Delicious and friendly.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

We came back to this cafe for breakfast because we had enjoyed a lunch there so much. We had an omlette and eggs benedict and both were delicious. I like that the food is very home made. There are gluten free options and a variety from which to choose. The staff are super helpful. They even gave us parking meter money and just tacked it on the bill. We will definitely visit again.

“Devine Breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

I had researched some restaurants for breakfast before we arrived in Rotorua to save time on decision making (traveled with older parents). We headed off to one of the chosen and saw Picnic and decided to check it out. It is directly across from the Novotel parking area. What a find!! Well sized breakfast meals without being overdone. Quality ingredients, wonderful combination of flavours and brilliant presentation. The huge coffees were an added bonus. I absolutely loved the homemade muesli. The eggs benedict got a thumbs up as did the pancakes with banana and bacon. A quaint little restaurant with European influence. Well worth a try. A standout for our breakfast meals.
