“Nice getaway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

As expensive as everything is in NZ, this was free and ranked right up there with any of the attractions we visited. Nice place for hiking and biking, from 1 hour to several. All trails well marked. Nice to see that this pocket of old growth redwoods is being preserved for future generations.

Best trails in the world, in one spot!! I ride for a living, and have ridden all over the world, and this has got to be one of the best places ever! Every kind of riding in one place.

“Majestice forest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2014

It is worth a walk through the tall timber of this lovely redwood forest. There are also some interesting eco toilets and a good cafe.

“Excellent Free Activity”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2014

We visited here on Anzac day so unfortunately the visitor's centre was closed but it also meant the forest was pretty much deserted. It was amazing walking through the woods and my kids just loved it - so beautiful, and the best part is that it's free! I will definitely return again when my kids are a bit older so can manage some of the longer trails.
