“Awesome for Mountain Biking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

Brilliant mountain biking tracks all over the forest. Tracks all signposted with grades from 1 Easy to 6 Expert. You can also get a map with all the trails, can get a little confusing the first day but once your familiar with the tracks its easy too navigate around. A must do for mountain bike riders!!!

“wonderful place to hike”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2013

It was wonderful to hike in the forest. The trails range from easy (1-2 hours) to difficult (6-7hours). the scenery is fabulous, specially looked out to see the whole Rotorua area. A very relax place to hike.

“not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2013

A great way to get a little exercise, see the redwoods and get a view over Rotorua and the geysers. And it is free although we bought a walking map and completed a brisk two hour walk with all the above. There was a small food kiosk and some unique toilets!

“Great Place To Hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

I felt back home in California with a hike through the redwoods. Lots of trails windy through some 100+ year old trees. Well worth the time. Interesting toilets there. Food and gift shop are good.
