This is a small cozy restaurant, with few tables indoor and a rather generous porch with outside seating. The kitchen is tiny and probably right-sized for the small community in Paihia.
A couple of key observations:
-bread basket had to be ordered and paid for...evidently bread is not complimentary here!
-the garlic butter that came with the bread is the same that you would find slathered on grilled garlic bread, except in this case the butter is cold mixed and tastes...different
-ordered two dishes, one of which came out to be the wrong dish
-wine was nice, thanks to the quality of NZ wines
-paper napkins rather than cloth
The service was pleasant enough.
I would recommend taking advantage of the outdoor ambience because the food while standard is nothing to write home about and you can use every bit of advantage to enjoy your stay at this restaurant.
