We are Canadian and I work in the travel industry and am well traveled. I try to find places that are good value for your money that are in good locations. Blue Pacific Apartments was exactly the right place to stay in Paihia. The rooms are clean, well appointed and in a perfect location. The location is quiet with only a 10-15 min walk from busy town. It is right across the street from the beautiful sandy beach that is perfect for swimming. We had room 5 which had two bedrooms and a large balcony with table, chairs, BBQ and hot tub. The oceanview from our balcony was spectacular, We stayed 3 nights and wished we could stay longer as there was so much to do. Doug was friendly and helped us plan activities to do while we were there. We enjoyed swimming with wild dolphins, golfing (10 min away), dinner cruise and shopping in town. The other big benefit was the grocery store only 3 minutes away. If you are a couple, single or family you will not be disappointed with this accommodation.

We stayed 2-nights in this beautiful 2-storey apartment. It was wonderful! The bathroom was nice too! It has a sauna and a triangular bath tub. The scenery was amazing! The beach was nice. The bathrooms,bedrooms and the kitchen were all clean. Just about a 5-minute drive away, there's a fish'n'chips at Shippey's. It's delicious!

The apartment was also well-equipped with full kitchen facilities as well as free laundry facilities which was useful. Wifi was free, and the toiletries were nice!

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay in a great location. Will strongly recommend to family and friends!

Blue Pacific is 15 minutes walk from the main Paihia shops but this is an advantage as it is very quiet and no noisy bars or restaurants. The views out over the bay is stunning. The units are being kept to a high standard and the bathrooms have all been recently modernised. Doug the manager is very helpful.

This is deservedly highly rated on trip advisor and elsewhere. The apartments are well located with great view over the Bay, and whilst you are a little out of town, there is a supermarket only a short walk away to stock up on food and other items, and central Paihia is easily walkable along the beachfront. The apartment itself is really well fitted out with everything you need - cooking facilities, washing machine, sky tv, dvd player, free internet access - and really comfortable. Quality of sleep was amazing, hardly any noise apart from the waves washing up on the beach and to be able to get the great views each morning of the sun on the bay from the balcony was excellent. The staff are really friendly and welcoming and provide good advice on tours etc. If you're planning on visiting the Bay of Islands or Northland I would highly recommend choosing here as the place to base yourself - it's an easy drive from here to all the major attractions and sight seeing spots, both on the east and west coasts (as there's hardly any traffic).
