“Warm beer, inept service, good coffee.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

We went there for lunch on a Friday. It was 12.05pm and they were in the middle of restocking the beer fridge. We asked for a beer, a flat white and a couple of pizzas. They told us that the kitchen wasn't ready to take orders and wouldn't be ready for at least 20mins. We decided not to order my food. They delivered our beer to the table in an ice bucket because they hadn't been in the fridge long enough to be cold. We were presented with two beers when we had only ordered one. The coffee was quite good though. As we left some food was coming out of the kitchen and it did look quite good.

“Nice pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2014

Called in for a pizza on the night of the 2nd and was told we would have to wait an hour for a pizza so went somewhere else. Called back in on the 3rd and it was a bit quieter and we waited half an hour for our pizza which was very tasty with a good amount of toppings. They also have some really nice beer options including an IPA from Good George. Overall it was nice to sit and have a nice pizza and watch the world go by.

“Pretty poor”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Wife ordered eggs and she was told they only had fried available. Thought that was strange. Got them and they were obviously made long ago and microwaved. Also ordered waffles which were average. Food took a long time to come.

Coffee was good hence 2 stars instead of one.

“Sauce was bland”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014 via mobile

The idea of creating your own pizza seemed intriguing so we tried Sauce. The pizza took one and a half hours to be ready. The garlic knots were not the " flavor explosion" they advertised, in fact they were a bland dud. The accompanying sauce would have made a better seafood sauce and could not be called Marinara. The barbecued chicken was good sized chunks of chicken but had no taste. The garlic sauce was good. We also had one of their house special pizzas bu the salami overpowered the other ingredients. Not an enjoyable dinner.

“Waited 45 minutes for pizza!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

Paid for our order only to find out from our sister who ordered after us the wait was 45 minutes!!! Disappointed we weren't told at the time we made the order. Was 45 mins before we got our order, and would have been longer except the group before us canceled there order and went next door to the fish and chip shop. Pizza was good but not good enough for a 45 min wait. Lovely location, staff friendly but they didn't give out numbers for the tables so they didn't know what order went to what table. A recommendation if Sauce management are reading this! Wouldn't rush back but a good place if your happy to wait!!
