We stayed a couple of nights in clean, comfortable if a little dated accommodation. The location is pretty and about 5 minutes drive from the heart of Paihia so its important to have a car. The manager and his lovely wife are friendly and helpful. The location is picturesque and the rooms overlook the river and the falls can been seen from the garden. There is a swimming pool but as it wasn't heated only brave hearts used it while we were there. Don't be put off by the road view of the motel its much prettier on the river side.

We arrived quite late after a long drive and received a warm and helpful welcome. The site looks straight at the falls - lovely.

We used the small but clean kitchen for breakfast. The showers and loo were OK. We hired a kayak for an hour the day we left and kayaked right up to the falls - great experience.

We recently travelled around New Zealand in a campervan and were generally impressed with the campsites and facilities, however the Falls Motel & Waterfront Campground was definitely a highlight. The facilities are spot on, and really well maintained. The motel is run by a lovely family couple, Olga & Andre, and they couldn't have been more helpful, making sure we were comfortable on their site, and also advising on sight-seeing in the area (including a fab walk behind the waterfall!). They're so lucky to have this amazing property, it's breath-taking. Would definitely stay at this site again if we're ever lucky enough to go back to the Bay of Islands and highly recommend it to any holiday-makers heading that direction!!

We stayed 2 nights at the motel and really enjoyed our stay. Andre the owner was really friendly and helpful. The view of the falls was stunning from our room and the grounds are very nice. We will definitely be staying here again.
