We are just back from our trip to New zealand. We stayed in this hotel for only one night. We couldn`t decide between this hotel and the hotelsof Scenic Circle (2 different ones), unfortunately we picked the wrong one. The room they show on their website is a suite, and is actually their best room. But the rest of the rooms... aweful. It´s clean, but that´s all there is about it. And the staff is very friendly. The bed is like a bed you know from a schooltrip, from metal, old, all the paint is gone from it. It´s not anymore from this time. The rooms are very noisy. In general everything is very old. When we went later to have a look on the other hotel, we were so sad we didn´t pick that one from Scenic Circle. Bay of Islands is super ! Good fishing from the shore.
