We stayed at the Casa Bella Motel in Paihia for three nights in mid Janaury 2007. The relatively new owners, Mark & Vivienne were very welcoming and friendly throughout our stay, without ever intruding on our privacy.
Our unit was spacious and scrupulously clean. There were two good sized double beds, shower room with basin & toilet and a kitchen area, with cooker, fridge and microwave. Decor and general condition of the unit were pretty good, without being particularly memorable. There is a small but adequate swimming pool with sunbeds etc.
On one evening, I asked Mark to call me a taxi to take us to the far end of town (approx 2 miles / 3 Km) - he very kindly gave us a lift himself. These touches make all the difference. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend without hesitation.

This small motel provided excellent clean accomodation in well appointed motel rooms. Ideally situated a 10 minute walk from the town centre. This is a family run hotel and you are made to feel at home. On arrival Mark Javins the proprietor takes time to advise on all the local sights in the Bay of Islands and recommends some really nice restaurants. During your stay he is happy to give advice on the local area and further afield. Nothing is too much trouble to this guy who takes a real pride in giving a kiwi welcome to visitors to the Bay of Islands staying at his motel.

Nice little motel about a 15-min. pleasant walk from the central dock/shops.

My room was very large, with attached living room area and a full kitchen with stove, microwave, and full set of dishes/utensils.

Free washing powder and use of the washer. The dryer is coin-operated.
